Bombing Science - INTVW/Pics 2018

LEC-VMD-CZ
I write AZEK, since 1995, I used to put an S in throw-ups at the beginning, it lasts a little after; I chose the Z in my pieces to fit better with the style I was building, It look more aggressive in my eyes. My crews are LEC and CZ from Toulouse and VMD from Paris.
I’m from Toulouse city, south west France, a nice city where we take it easy, It’s close to Spain.
It’s one of the best french scene with Paris since 90s’, Old timers did a very good job here, with style and techniques that push us up! I like to move and travel as much as possible so friendships and connections came quickly after,
My influences are from this era, buit by Truskool crew here, from the historical NewYork style followed by Paris and Amsterdam with our now reknown Toulouse graffiti touch, clean and technical. Futura and Dondi are the essence of my influences, then guys like Ces, Revok, push the level even more. Much respect. Stare, Bacon, Kwest also…
Graffiti for me is global and my style is all about that, tags, throw-ups, wild-styles… Everything is connected and have to be part of my universe, a good writer’s skills, letters first ! A good throw up or simple tag with style could have more power than a weird shit full of colors, I like to do crazy full color pieces, like many at once, can’t be bored, but style is the key !
Shout out to my crews and my overseas fam’, NYC and Montreal, Scan R.I.P.”

For those that don't know you, who are you and what crews do you rep and how long have you been writing?

Azek from Toulouse, south west France. My crews are LEC (Lecrew) & CZ (ColomZoo), I'm also member of DSK (from Paris), LCF (Toulouse) & ASK (NYC)
I've been writing since 1995.

How do you believe living in France has affected your graffiti, whether it is style, flow, color schemes, or just the way you think?

First of all it was the early influence from my city Toulouse, with guys like Soune, Tilt and Sike. Graffiti started around 1987/89 here. We can call it "french style" but it was also influenced by the basics from Paris witch came from New-York, Amsterdam, London...
I think living in France doesn't really affect my graffiti in any way, I'm more like multiculturalist and my graffiti reflect that a little bit. My style is something I can't really explain, it's a about a lot of paintings and freestyling, flow and color schemes could be premedited or not at all. I like to paint in very free conditions.

Graffiti seems to have taken you all around the world, what are some of your favorite places and why?

I'd like to say that but I have a lot more to do!! So many great places to visit are on my target.
One of my favourite places is without a doubt Montreal, I love how I feel so welcome...

American Freights - Boxcars - Autoracks ...

One of the things i love that much in graffiti is trains, nothing can test this energy. Particularly freight trains witch could travel throw many different cities and countries for a while... you know that's what's up !
So here's a little photos selection from some the best Flickr's benchers (all credits linked under pics), who ride the north-American yards to shot these awesome pieces, panels, whole cars from many dope graffiti writers and kings.
Please enjoy and take a look at their web pages and some of my Flickr fr8's galleries (linked at end of post).
Peace
